Pay the fee

You need to pay the fee (400SEK) before you go to the Skatteverket.

Use the payment information here to pay 400 SEK to the Skatteverket.

Remember state your personal identity number when paying!

If you want to avoid the (potential) high bank transfer fee, you may:

• Ask a friend who already has a bank account or/and swish to pay for you
• Use TransferWise¹ to pay the fee

Go to the Skatteverket for taking a photo

When your appointment is due, go to the Skatteverket for taking a photo.

You need to bring:

• Your residence permit card
• The payment receipt, or any proof of payment

After taking the photo, you will receive a receipt, keep it safe, you will need it when you go to the Skatteverket for getting the ID card.

Go to the Skatteverket for getting the ID card

After the ID card is ready, you will receive a SMS message to go to the Skatteverket for getting the ID card.

Getting the ID card does not require an appointment.

You need to bring:

• The receipt you received when taking the photo.
